The SynerG is a 3-buckle high-performance boot designed to drive and carve the wider skis on the market. It is perfect for backcountry touring and lift-served skiing. Not only does the Syner-G use a narrower performance last, but the new 2009 "Flash" Thermofit liner will give you a great fit every time. Garmont's Triple G Injection technology was the first to combine three different Pebax stiffnesses in the same boot shell to maintain a sweet forward flex while generating maximum lateral torsional control. It's softer in the flex zones, stiffer in the foot zone, and has an even stiffer "Chassis" extending from the toe all the way to the heel and up to the top of the of the mid-height cuff. The "Chassis" preserves the smooth, forward flex yet allows for rock solid control while edging the ski. The flex zone has been recessed to keep it away from slicing edges. An adjustable forward lean control lets you set the forward angle at 17, 22-degree or free-heel for uphill. The improved "Flash" Thermofit liner has a new sole and T-Bar plastic tongue reinforcement that is better fitting. There is a low profile lace where you can remove if desired. It has four different closed cell foam densities and thicknesses, specifically developed for the proper flex when used in telemark boots. The softest foams are used in the forefoot and tongue for warmth and comfort. A stiffer support density wraps the rear of the foot, which is reinforced by an even beefier cuff density. There is extra reinforcement around the cuff for comfort and performance. The liner utilizes a Strobel-Stitch design, which allows the foot-bed and foot to sit flatter and better anchored in the liner while maximizing the forefoot width for additional comfort. The Strobel design also allows Garmont to use a firmer sole material for the foot-bed, which gives better foot support. The simple tongue design makes entry and exit easy. For mail order customers, any good downhill ski shop should have trained knowledgeable staff to assist you with thermofit fitting. The warm Thermofit liner saves you a pound over the standard liner. (Note: Thermofitting allows for fitting at least every full size, ie., a 26 and 26.5 liner and shell are the same size from the factory.) - 75 mm
