Driving Directions to Marmot Mountain Works, Berkeley, CA
From West - The Bay Bridge and San Francisco:
Useful Landmarks: The Marmot, Berkeley, store is located 1/2 block North of the Ashby BART station exit on Adeline Street.
- Take 80 East across the Bay Bridge.
- After crossing the bridge, continue on 80 East toward Sacramento.
- Take the Ashby Avenue exit, which is the second exit.
- Start counting stop lights - the 6th stoplight is Adeline Street located at the corner of the Ashby BART station.
- Turn right on Adeline Street and move to the far left lane ASAP (watch for oncoming traffic) to do a U-Turn into our parking lot.
- Marmot is on the left side of Adeline and looks like a (former) Russian Orthodox church (has an Onion dome steeple).
- Go past the store and make a U turn.
- Park on the street (2 hour limit) or in the lot next to the store.
From South - 880, San Jose, Hayward, San Leandro, and areas South West of the Store:
- Take 880 North and merge with 80 East
- Take the Ashby Avenue exit, which is the second exit.
- Start counting stop lights - the 6th stoplight is Adeline Street located at the corner of the Ashby BART station.
- Turn right on Adeline Street and move to the far left lane ASAP (watch for oncoming traffic) to do a U-Turn into our parking lot.
- Marmot is on the left side of Adeline and looks like a (former) Russian Orthodox church (has an Onion dome steeple).
- Go past the store and make a U turn.
- Park on the street (2 hour limit) or in the lot next to the store.
From North and East of the Store (Sacramento, Truckee, Richmond):
- Take 80 West to the Ashby Ave Exit (4th Berkeley Exit; after University)
- Take the Ashby Avenue Exit and stay left as the exit crosses over the 80.
- Start counting stop lights - the 6th stoplight is Adeline Street located at the corner of the Ashby BART station.
- Turn right on Adeline Street and move to the far left lane ASAP (watch for oncoming traffic) to do a U-Turn into our parking lot.
- Marmot is on the left side of Adeline and looks like a (former) Russian Orthodox church (has an Onion dome steeple).
- Go past the store and make a U turn.
- Park on the street (2 hour limit) or in the lot next to the store.
From East of the Store: Highways 24 (Orinda, Walnut Creek, Thru the Caldecott Tunnel):
- Take 24 West through the Caldedcot Tunnel.
- Take the Berkeley/Ashby Avenue exit (the 2nd exit after the Tunnel).
- Continue on 13 West (Ashby Avenue) past Shattuck Avenue.
- Turn left at the next light, Adeline Street, and stay in left lane.
- Marmot is on the left side of Adeline and looks like a (former) Russian Orthodox church (has an Onion dome steeple).
- Go past the store and make a U turn.
- Park on the street (2 hour limit) or in the lot next to the store.
